Madison International Realty continues to expand its philanthropy program, this time with corporate citizenship through meaningful activities. After a review of several organizations in the New York City area, the company has partnered with Educational Alliance to create a mentoring program for their college prep students. Educational Alliance is a 126-year-old New York institution that strives to help the community by providing arts & culture, education, health & wellness, and social services to those in need.
On October 21st, Madison International Realty held its first mentoring event with 12 of Education Alliance’s students. The Madison staff taught workshops on financial independence, how to create a work/school/life balance, and tips on living in New York City. These topics are not often taught in a traditional setting and created amazing conversation between staff and students. Amarilis Perez, Director of Adolescent Services at Educational Alliance, said, “this was the best volunteer event that I have ever been a part of! Everything was so well planned and the students got a tremendous amount out of it.”
This mentoring event was one of four that Madison International Realty plans on hosting annually. Between the students’ excitement and the staff demand to participate, it is clear these events will continue to be a favorite of both organizations involved.
