Madison Encourages Corporate Giving

In November 2014, Madison International Realty gave its New York employees the option to donate their Friday Seamless lunch to the Food Bank for New York City.  Over two weeks, Madison raised $2,205 which will provide 11,025 meals to hungry New Yorkers.  This donation will benefit the Food Bank’s network of emergency food programs in the area, including soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, low-income day care centers, childhood nutrition programs and senior, youth and rehabilitative centers. Each year, the Food Bank provides more than 63 million free meals that are distributed to New Yorkers in need. A donation of $1 to the Food Bank will help provide five meals to New Yorkers in need. That means that each $35 donation assists Food Bank in supplying 175 meals to hungry New Yorkers.  Madison International hopes to continue this event each year.

In October 2014, one of Madison’s Frankfurt assets, Trianon, supported VITA Assistance Dogs (VITA), an animal non-profit, by donating €10,000 which will cover training for four assistance dogs. VITA’s mission is to provide people with disabilities with a guide dog to be by their side, help them achieve greater independence and quality of life.
