Madison International Realty announced that Andrew Schaffler has joined the firm in the new position of Director, Public Markets. Based in Madison’s New York office, Schaffler will oversee all aspects of the firm’s public markets activities.

Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and industry contacts in the public real estate markets that will be of great benefit as we further institutionalize our public markets investment activities,” said Ronald M. Dickerman, Madison founder and president.
Schaffler joins Madison from Cohen & Steers Capital Management, where he spent eight years on the portfolio management team, including five years running a long/short real estate hedge fund. Previously, he served as an analyst in the fund portfolio analytics group of Neuberger Berman, LLC.
Schaffler earned a B.S. degree in policy analysis and management from Cornell University. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), he is a CFA Institute Member and a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts (NYSSA).
