Ms. Chitrakar serves as a Chief Accounting Officer with oversight of Madison International Realty’s Fund Finance & Accounting team. Ms. Chitrakar’s primary responsibilities include all aspects of funds management including financial reporting, fund operations, tax structuring, and compliance. She excels at building external relationships, including those with key strategic audit, tax, finance, and hedging partners as well as third-party administration teams. Ms. Chitrakar has over 15 years’ of finance and accounting experience. Before joining Madison International Realty in 2010, she served as a Supervising Senior at Ernst & Young in the New York Real Estate practice. She led audit engagements of private equity real estate and retail companies. Ms. Chitrakar earned a Master of Business Administration in Accountancy from Baruch College, City University of New York, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
