- Requesting, where available, DEI policies of Madison’s sponsor companies in the due diligence process and during ongoing asset management.
- Engaging in conversations through professional networks related to DEI goals and practices, while also serving in an educative function, both for internal and external stakeholders. This includes providing networking and educational opportunities to assist our staff, investors, vendors and partners.
- Conducting ongoing research about best practices and evaluating against current practices through formalized and informal discussions.
- Providing transparency about progress and goals via disclosures and information made publicly available.
- Annual ESG sponsor engagement to request data, including DEI metrics covering gender and race
- As part of Madison’s investment governance programs, DEI considerations are taken into account when assigning board member responsibilities.
